Last night (1/28/08) was like attending a really good party. I sang two songs and was shown a lot of support and appreciation. And Mary Sugar was perfect on the piano and made me feel secure on the stage. I hope she is there for future Open Mics. I am joining the Cabaret Network and plan to see you at the next O.M.

    Thank you all,

    Byron Murray

It was my first time attending and singing at the DC Cabaret open mike and I had a fabulous time. It was an eye-opening experience to know there is so much talent and commitment to cabaret so close by – AND that there are so many MOM’s with young kids doing this like myseslf – yay! I had a wonderful time listening to all the voices and want to thank everyone for making me and the other newcomers feel so welcome. It’s a great support network!

I look forward to singing there again and getting to know everyone better.

My personal thanks to Sally Martin, Mary Reilly and of course Mary Sugar for her fantastic accompaniments and graciousness with each performer.

    Happy singing! Adele Russell

What a great night it was — so many fantastic singers, too! It was great to meet and work with Mary, too.
